A Guide to Low?Valent Titanocene Complexes as Tunable Single?Electron Transfer Catalysts for Applications in Organic Chemistry

چکیده
Low-valent titanocene catalysts are a versatile tool for organic synthesis. They promote inter- and intramolecular reactions ranging from homolytic bond cleavages to reductive umpolung additions cyclizations in single electron steps. These heavily depend on the redox potential of an situ formed titanium(III) center, which can be adjusted by choice appropriate ligands. We herein review various chiral achiral ligand-modified their reduction potentials Ep/2 obtained via cyclic voltammetry. The latter found correlate with Hammett parameters ?p cyclopentadienyl substituents pKa values corresponding acids Ti?X For selected examples, we further discuss how adjustment properties through modifications ligands lead greatly improved reaction outcomes catalyzed single-electron transfer reactions.

Determination of Incisal Point as Anterior Guide to Transfer Maxillary Casts to Articulator: A Pilot Study
Objectives Despite the importance to use face-bow record for transferring maxillary cast to articulator some dentists use average points to avoid the time taken and ease of use. The location of incisal point could help to set the maxillary cast or denture in an appropriate position in mounting stage. This study was designed to determine the incisal point location in ante...
متن کاملBiomimetic catalysts for selective oxidation in organic chemistry
Major advances have been made towards efficient catalytically active model systems for cytochrome P-450 during these last ten years. Some recent developments of this field are described. This include (i) examples of application of these biomimetic systems to compounds of biological interest, (ii) the use of Mn-porphyrins to catalyze the transfer of a nitrogen atom into organic substrates, and (...
متن کاملCoordination Complexes as Catalysts
Coordination Complexes as Catalysts The first half of the book focuses on the use of coordination complexes as catalysts for a diverse range of organic reactions. Chapters on supported metal complexes and combinatorial catalysis are also included in this half of the book. Chapter 1, covering catalysts for polymerisation, is not an area where platinum group metal (pgm) complexes would be expecte...
متن کاملMeteorites as catalysts for prebiotic chemistry.
Meteorite late heavy bombardment was a major event after the accretion of the earth. The relevance of organic syntheses driven by impact shocks was first proposed by Chyba and Sagan in 1992, based on the scanty indications available at the time. How would the contribution by meteorites to an early earth organic pool compare with the syntheses these meteorites might have induced after their impa...
متن کاملRuthenium nitronate complexes as tunable catalysts for olefin metathesis and other transformations.
Novel ruthenium(II) complexes were obtained as a result of a stoichiometric reaction of Grubbs' benzylidene second generation catalysts with 3-nitropropene. These stable complexes, formally ruthenaisoxazole N-oxide derivatives, display activity in both metathesis and non-metathetic processes such as cycloisomerisation, isomerisation and transfer hydrogenation.
